Thank-you for considering Beaches Restaurant for your event. At Beaches we can arrange or provide recommendations and ideas for every element of your occasion. The chef will be delighted to organise a balanced menu to suit all.

The Rooms

The Restaurant
The restaurant offers an attractive Mediterranean décor, giving a casual but formal atmosphere, combined with a view across to the rotunda and the beach.

Capacity: minimum guests 40, maximum guests 60 (when used in conjunction with the Mandolong room).


The First Floor
Our first floor dining room offers stunning views over Balmoral's beach, sandy shoreline & the rotunda. North facing French doors can be fully opened weather permitting: otherwise an open fire can add charm.

Capacity: minimum guests is 30 (for sole use),  maximum guests 40.


The Mandolong
Situated on the mezzanine level, this semi private room caters for 8 to 18. Floor to ceiling mirrors offer water glimpses.

 

The Food & Beverage

The food

For groups of 10 guests and upwards, a set menu is essential. All food prices are quoted per person.

2 courses $60 (coffee & tea not inclusive) LUNCH ONLY

2 courses + beverage package for 3 hours $95 LUNCH ONLY

2 courses + beverage package for 4 hours $105 LUNCH ONLY

3 courses $70

Three course menus include 3 choices per course, side dishes with main & tea or coffee with dessert.

We can also supply a variety of cakes for your event. We do not however allow BYO cakes.

*Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for, but we require prior knowledge to your event.

*Children under 12 can choose from a 2-course menu. To start either a fillet of fish, chicken or beef with hand cut fries, followed by homemade ice cream.

The Beverage

The beverage component of your event can be charged on consumption, at list prices or as a beverage package.

The package includes house white and red wine, sparkling champagne, local and light beer as well as soft drinks.

3 hour package $35

4 hour package $45

Final guest numbers are required 24 hours prior to the event. This will be the number charged for.

General Information

Timing

The rooms are available from:

Breakfast weekends 8.30am to 11.30am.

Lunch from 12 noon (12.30pm weekends) until 4pm (4.30pm weekends)

Dinner from 6pm until 11.30pm

In the event of inclement weather, please discuss a wet weather option.

Boring but Important Details

We are a non-smoking restaurant, no exceptions even if you book an entire floor. Nothing can be nailed or adhered to the walls or ceiling. Candles must be in drip proof containers and not be placed on the floor. We accept no responsibility for anything left behind after a function.

Booking Confirmation and Cancellation

Your selected date will be pencilled in and you will have first priority for 2 weeks. After which time a deposit will be required to secure the date. Cancellation of a confirmed booking must be made in writing and subject to the following conditions: 

Outside 21 days - a full refund.

Between 21 and 7 days - a 50% refund.

Inside 7 days - no refund.

Duck and Bacon Risotto, marscapone, field mushrooms and crisp parmesan
 
Confit of Atlantic Salmon with sage, cheddar and mustard crust served with a sauterne sauce
 
Seafood Pie with fennel and leeks, topped with sesame mash
 
Jewfish or Barramundi Fillet, crispy potatoes and capers served with basil veloute
 
Forest Mushroom and Spinach Risotto with tempura eggplant and mushroom essence
 
Beef Medallions creamed potato, foie gras butter and red wine jus
 
Supreme of Chicken Poulpot, ham, mushrooms, onion, white wine and bearnaise

Weddings

$140 per head: choice of 3 courses with beverage package and flower arrangements inclusive. Tables are clothed in white linen with white linen napkins, candles can be provided if required. If you have a set-seating plan for your event, please provide place cards with guest lists.

Recommendations and assistance regarding florists, entertainers and marriage celebrants can be given.
